Deburring Technician

Gen-El-Mec Associates, LLC is seeking a skilled Deburring Technician to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deburring parts to specifications, performing assembly duties as needed, and assisting in various tasks throughout the manufacturing process. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use hand tools and machinery to deburr and finish parts, ensuring all products are smooth, free of sharp edges, and meet quality standards.
  • Perform basic assembly tasks as required to support production timelines.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine the best method for deburring and finishing.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize production processes.
  • Report any issues with equipment or inconsistencies in product quality to the supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the production team.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is a plus
  • Proven experience in deburring, metal fabrication, or a similar role in manufacturing
  • Familiarity with using hand tools and deburring equipment
  • Keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality results
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

QC Inspector

Gen-El-Mec Associates, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QC Inspector with over 5 years of experience in inspecting tight tolerance components. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and a proven track record of inspecting first articles, first pieces, and utilizing a variety of measurement techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspections of precision components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
  • Utilize a range of measurement tools and techniques, including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs.
  • Interpret and apply GD&T principles to accurately assess component specifications and tolerances.
  • Inspect and validate first articles and first pieces to ensure they meet design requirements and production standards.
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of findings, including any non-conformities or deviations.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or inspection within a precision component manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GD&T and its application in component inspection.
  • Proven experience with various measurement techniques and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Quality Control or related fields (e.g., CQI, CMM programming).
  • Experience with automated inspection systems and advanced measurement technologies.
