Gen-El-Mec Associates, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QC Inspector with over 5 years of experience in inspecting tight tolerance components. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and a proven track record of inspecting first articles, first pieces, and utilizing a variety of measurement techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections of precision components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Utilize a range of measurement tools and techniques, including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs.
- Interpret and apply GD&T principles to accurately assess component specifications and tolerances.
- Inspect and validate first articles and first pieces to ensure they meet design requirements and production standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed records of findings, including any non-conformities or deviations.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or inspection within a precision component manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of GD&T and its application in component inspection.
- Proven experience with various measurement techniques and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with team members.
Keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality results
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprints
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Quality Control or related fields (e.g., CQI, CMM programming).
- Experience with automated inspection systems and advanced measurement technologies.
